Helen & Douglas House

Helen & Douglas House provide a home-from-home environment helping:

- Children and young adults with life shortening conditions who need respite care, and their families

- Children and young adults who need emergency and end of life care for their families

- Families who wish to receive support after the death of their child

Helen House is a hospice where children with life-shortening conditions and thier families can come for professional care, practical support and friendship. It's a place where children can be amongst other children and families can have the immeasurable strain of caring lifted from them in a positive environment built around their needs.

Douglas House is a place for young people aged 16 to 40. It's a positive, hotel-like environment that's built around the needs of young people, and families can have the immeasurable strain of caring lifted from them. Douglas House is a place of respite on a long journey; a place to help young people to enjoy their life as fully as possible.
